YOU can make a difference in their lives! Here are some ways to help out:

 

1. Monetary Donations (The most practical way to contribute, especially if you couldn't help out physically 😉. The donations will be use for food/sterilization/vaccination/medical needs/ space rental to house the animals/ maintenance of their space/ shelter worker's pay/ cremation etc).
    

2. Items Donation (We recommend you to check with the shelter/rescue group to see what are the items they REALLY need before donating, it can be food/ grooming items/ cages/ pee pads/ toys/ leashes/ pet beds that are suitable for shelter environment...)
    

3. Volunteering your time at a shelter (Different shelters have their own sets of tasks/ rules and regulations, but some of the more common tasks are feeding the animals/ walking the dogs/ cleaning the enclosure/ playing and socializing the animals/ grooming/taking photos for the pets for adoption)
    

4. Ad-hoc helping out at adoption events (It can be helping to handle the animals or taking care/selling items at the donation booths)
    

5. Fund Raising (If you have a skill or two, you may help to fund raise by selling handmade product/services or bake stuff, and rally your family/friends to chip in, a little goes a long way)
    

6. Social Media/ Designing of adoption materials (Sometimes the shelter founders and volunteers are too preoccupied with the actual care-taking tasks/ not equipped with the skills to do up marketing stuff to promote their animals for adoption. If you have the time and basic designing skills, you can help them out remotely!)
    

7. Spreading awareness! (This is probably the easiest help of all, your LIKES and SHARES helps to reach wider audiences which might in turn garner more help for the animals from your community!)
    

8. Educate the young (Nurturing compassion and kindness starts from young. By guiding the younger generations the right way to treat and respect animals now, can help in raising more compassionate humans for the society down the road).
    

9. Sponsor a pet! (A great option if you fall in love with an animal but couldn't bring it home, your sponsorship goes to feeding the animal/ use for its welfare)
    

10. Fostering an animal (It involves temporarily taking care of an animal until they find a permanent home. This process helps shelters manage their populations and provides animals with a loving environment to heal/learn. Check with the specific welfare group for their own foster programs)
     

11. ADOPT A PET! ❤️ (Give the rescued, the homeless or seniors a chance to experience love and care by making them a part of your family. There are really A LOT of animals waiting to be adopted all over the world, by adopting them, it will change their world).
